Morganna Murphy eats, imagines and makes. Through kaleidoscopic colour palettes and textural surfaces, Morganna is a creator of accessories, accoutrements & ensembles. Originally from Dundalk, Morganna moved to Dublin in 2010 to study at the National College of Art & Design where she carried out a BA hons. in Art & Artefact Textiles. Featuring on various blogs and websites, including Susie Bubbles stylebubble, Morganna Murphy stocks in Dublin's renowned Atelier 27, a respected retail platform for young Irish designers.

Morganna seeks alternate expressions of her surroundings in her collections, allowing each collection to emerge from playful & cartoonish concepts. What connects each collection is her innate technical sensibility, experimenting largely with functional possibilities to best convey her surrealist tendencies. Her most recent collection, 'Hold Me', turns handbags into private sculptures of unprecedented form. Throughout the series, the intimacy created between garments and their owners is explored, with Morganna eclipsing the functional device of the handbag -to hold- with its desire to be held. From the pink pyramid to a thoroughly modern interpretation of the medieval stocks, each element surmises Morganna's aesthetic as creating "the icing on the cake of reality".
